“At Little Door, we really like to challenge ourselves with projects that push people to work in ways they wouldn’t usually consider, and to get us out of our comfort zones. Our first zine, Apollo 11, very much allowed everyone to work to their own styles with their own media and that was great. However for our second zine we wanted something more challenging. Getting it printed in riso limited the colours we could use, we chose to use the classic riso combo of red and blue, forcing everyone to consider this in their artwork. Its a process that takes a bit more planning for, and can push people to do things in their work that even surprises them! Plus…riso zines have a lovely hand-made feel that you can’t get from a digital print. As for the theme – we thought it would be fun!
