Edwina Dunn’s The Female Lead profiles sixty inspirational women from all walks of life with words, photos and illustrations. From artists to politicians, journalists to teachers, all these women have inspired change or broken new ground.

Illustration’s animation lecturer PAUL BARRITT has produced a series of ground breaking shows combining live -action theatre and animation with his troupe 1927. This year they have returned to the BERLIN KOMISCHE OPERA HOUSE with a double bill of Stravinsky’s Petruschka and Ravel’s L’enfant Et Les Sortilèges;

For one of her 3rd projects student YURINA SHIMOJU has created a stop-motion animation, ‘Into the Water’. Through a series of shifting ink paintings, Yurina has crafted an atmospheric and moving response to the suicide of her sister. The film is available to watch on youtube;

Graduate TARO QURESHI (2015) is one of just 54 artists competing in this year’s Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year. The program is currently airing on Sky Arts and we are delighted to say that Taro made it through the first heat to the second round with his portrait of actor and singer Raleigh Ritchie. Hundreds of artists applied to be part of the program and the final winner will receive a £10,000 commission to paint tv presenter and comedian Graham Norton.
