STUDENT NEWS: D&AD AWARDS

We are delighted to announce that 3rd year student COURTENEY HORAN has been selected as one of the winners of this year’s D&AD Hotel Indigo Brief for her Behind the Suite concept. Drawing on the rich cultural history of the lower East Side, this concept sees images from the city’s past projected onto the faces of the hotels. Below are the full set of illustration;

As part of her final year, 3rd yr student CAT ELLAMS has created a series of screen prints illustrating Rudyard Kipling’s Just So stories, a collection of modern myths explaining the natural world;

EXHIBTION: POETRY RE-VIEWED

Tonight sees the opening of our latest exhibition at the Poetry Society Cafe in Covent Garden. POETRY RE-VIEWED features illustration by our students inspired by the poems in the winter issue of The Poetry Review.

The exhibition features paintings, prints and paper cut-outs and runs from February 5th – March 16th. All works are for sale; proceeds go towards the students’ final degree show.

STUDENT WORK: T-SHIRTS

In their latest project our 1st year students were introduced to working in Adobe Illustrator with a brief tasking them with designing a t-shirt. Their initial drawings were vectorised, cut out on hot press vinyl and applied with a hot press. Below are just some of the final results;

GRADUATE WORK: DARLINGS OF THE OLD WEST

Darlings of the Old West is Graduate SALOME PAPADOPOULLOS’ first solo exhibition. The show at Drink Shop Do featured a series of gouache portraits of iconic cowgirls who have graced the silver screen;
